Daltons sand and pumice products are
quarried on-site in Matamata, from sand
deposits left from the ancient path of the
mighty Waikato river. Being land mined
these products are weed free and disease
free, so are perfect for Horticultural
applications.
Can be used as a cutting growing media, an input into growing media, as a hypha tufa ingredient and for decorative applications. Used extensively in the nursery industry as a growing media input and propagation medium. Also suitable to use in BBQ drip trays, popular as a pathway aggregate and as a decorative aggregate for gardens and pot tops. It is a great soil additive, improving drainage for moisture sensitive plants.
Description:
A washed, screened and graded Pumice produced as a by-product of sand processing onsite in Matamata. This product is predominantly used in potting mixes, to open the mix up and achieve a desirable air filled porosity and provide good drainage.
